Cyprus Still Divided reveals the web of domestic politics, the realpolitik of Henry Kissinger, and his refusal to apply the rule of law to Turkey's invasion and occupation of 37% of Cyprus and the refusal of the Executive Branch since then to apply the rule of law to Turkey's invasion and occupation of Cyprus.  For example, the documentary presents a recently declassified August 13, 1974 White House Memorandum of Conversation that clearly indicts Kissinger, who said, "There is no American reason why the Turks should not have one-third of Cyprus."  The panel will discuss the ongoing settlement negotiations between the Republic of Cyprus and the Turkish Cypriot community that began in September, 2008 and the U.S. role in reunifying Cyprus.

This documentary was aired on Maryland Public Television on October 17, 2011 and on PBS-Detroit on September 13, 2010.
