Benefiting Bridges to Independence

WHAT:
DCGreeks.com is once again sponsoring a team created from Greek and Philhellene kickballers from all over the DC Metro area to compete in a one-day kickball tournament that covers all the bases -- fun, food, charity, and all-day KICKBALL competition -- now in its 16th edition!  We've won this tournament four times -- not bad for a squad that doesn't play organized kickball but once a year!

In addition, there will be a live DJ, food trucks, and an opportunity to meet new people and expand your networks. Bridges to Independence Kickball Tournament has brought together families, companies, faith-based groups, and volunteers for friendly competition and networking while supporting a great cause. All proceeds from the event will help families experiencing homelessness, housing instability, and systemic poverty.

WHEN:
Saturday, August 5, 2023.  Games start at 9:00 AM.  Round robin play followed by Playoffs. In previous years, the Championship Game has finished around 3:00 PM.

WHY:

WHO:
DCGreeks.com is once again sponsoring a team created from Greek and Philhellenes kickballers from all over the DC Metro area and is putting out an open sign-up for members.    

This is a co-ed tournament.  We need 12 players minimum (3 of which must be women) and can go up to a maximum of 15 players, as we can play 11 players in the field on defense.   If you're interested in playing, please email [email protected] ASAP as roster slots are limited.
