Third Thursday Greek Young Professionals Happy Hour Join us on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 7:00 PM as the Third Thursday Greek Young Professionals Happy Hour series visits Clubhouse in Washington, DC for a special Christmas Toy Drive & Stuffed Animal Making Edition! Our friends at The Hellenic Society Prometheas have generously donated the funds to purchase fifty stuffed animals which we'll stuff on-site during this event. These stuffed animals along with any additional stuffed animals or toys brought or purchased by our guests will be collected and distributed to children affected by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina through the efforts of Tidewater Disaster Response, and their Logistics Coordinator, Costas Sardelis, who have graciously donated logistics support for this event! We will have additional stuffed animals on hand for our guests to purchase for donation to the toy drive or to take home as gifts or to keep. Alternatively, our guests are encouraged to bring new unwrapped toys to donate. Located in Georgetown, Clubhouse is a cozy two-story venue with three bars, communal seating, and 17 TVs, making it perfect for large groups and watching sports. Enjoy elevated pub grub, a massive beer list with liter mugs, draft cocktails, and a full bar. We have space reserved in their fireplace section which features two fireplaces and several couches for a semi-private feel.

Its goals are to promote the ideals of Hellenic culture both ancient and modern and to provide its members with a forum and mechanism to pursue matters of common interest. About Tidewater Disaster Response Tidewater Disaster Response is a 501(c)(3) non profit first responder organization headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia. Tidewater Disaster Response serves nationally at the request of fire departments and emergency management agencies. TDR provides specialized services such as search and rescue, flood and swift water rescue, disaster relief services and logistics, specialized sawyer teams and heavy machinery. TDR is fully self sufficient and our services are free to requesting agencies and are staffed by volunteers who are trained professionals in their field. Since 2001, Third Thursday has provided Greek-Americans, Greeks, Cypriots, and Philhellenes from the Washington, DC area and beyond the chance to meet every month in a relaxed atmosphere, particularly welcoming those who have moved from different parts of the country for work or school into the greater DC area Greek community. With visits to a variety of bars, restaurants, and lounges in the most vibrant neighborhoods of DC, Maryland, and Virginia, Third Thursday is a great way to catch up with old friends and make new ones in the Greek community. We strive to maintain the simple principles of its founders while expanding the event to an ever-changing audience of Greeks in the area.
