The entertainment at Taverna Night will be provided by Grigoris Maninakis and the Mikrokosmos Ensemble, an accomplished and world-renowned Greek music group. They will take us on “A Greek Musical Journey,” a concert program featuring a taste of Greek folk music, some music of Smyrna-Asia Minor, and music from the great Greek musicians, Vamvakaris, Tsitsanis, Mitsakis, Zambetas, Hatzidakis, Theodorakis, and others.

Following the concert portion of the evening, the band will then play Greek dance music for all to enjoy and dance to.  Catering for Taverna Night is being provided by CAVA of Rockville, Maryland.

Our annual Car Raffle drawing will also be held at Taverna Night.  This year it is a 2009 four-door Jeep Wrangler. Only 1,000 raffle tickets have been printed. Donation is $100. Checks are payable to St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Credit cards are also accepted (Visa/MC).

Admission to Taverna Night is $40, but you can save $10 off the admission price by buying a Car Raffle ticket.
